It's funny how they let pirates play BFBC2 multiplayer free with nexus, yet BF3 is gonna be need to be purchased to play with NEXUS. Like why? Why should i install nexus if i'll buy the game? I can just aswell play the official servers.

Because BFBC2 does have a diffrent license-check.

Why Venice?
because

• Own Server
• Mods
• everything changeable on server (suppression, hopefully networksmoothing on/off etc.)
• all DLCs
• (my BF3-free buddy is able to play with my license file without buying the game)

BC2 doesn't have a license check at all.

DICE removed the DRM with patch R11, not our fault.

DICE "cracked" the game by themselves. NoFaTe didn't do anything to the game.

Your friend has to install it by himself on his machine to create a unique hash license for his own PC.
