Not yet.

We will look into it with the release of Venice Unleashed.

The current main goal is to maintain the community at it's current state and keep it growing and to get both projects stable.

That's pretty much our primary and secondary goals.

Tournaments and everything related to "fun" is tertiary.

I don't see how the Community isn't hosting Events on their own. Maybe there should be a thread or a sub-thing to organize and host these events. Of course, prizes and such would be entirely up to the hosts of the tournament, whether there'd be such or not, but the least I can think off right now is a BF3 HumbleBundle key 8-)

we could create a team dedicated to this issue.

i dont care to take part of it.

hosting tournaments is simply: we need a server, some admins and players.
if we got the server, i can search admins. players will come themselves :P

Tournaments usually come with prizes or at least some compensation for the lost time. Then again, since this is a team-focused game, you can't really reward a team of 16 players so Tournaments should be played on Squad Rush or Squad Deathmatch and I think my idea for handing out keys to games would be a great reward for those who don't want to spend a couple of extra bucks and instead prove themselves worthy with bullets and teamwork

P.S. - I wouldn't take active part in this either, I am just pointing out options here. If there is to be a dedicated "Tournaments" or something like that sub-forum in the future, the least there should be at least a regional moderator or a key/money donator who is willing to pay the winners but with missing spectator mode, that may be quite the failed tournament either way
Maybe it will transition well into Venice, seeing how NoFaTe already has working Spectator and "replay' mode in his videos, and who knows, maybe I will contribute with something too 8-)

playing a tournament it is not wasted time, I enjoy playing tournaments and i dont care about the prize.
if we got donators, even better!
but i think we can host tournaments just for fun.
observants are not necesary, they can prove the victory with a screenshot.

i have been thinking about squad:assault, it is the most competitive mode.

p.s : some forum moderator, can create a sub-forum for tournaments and move this into it?

thanks!

Hosting tournaments is easy ?

LOL

You need a working anti-cheat, spectator mode, replay function if available, organisation, prizes, a tournament system RO32 or RO16 and K.O., map lineup, proper gamemode setting, etc etc..

Look up the ESL and it's rules.

Tournaments are easy... WTF! ._.

If you think, you are here for a free game then go away. You don't say thank you Nofate or other things. You are just a little kid, who is thinking: 'hmm, ohhh EN, hmm, FREE GAMES OMFGGGG; GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!'

And tournaments:
I tried 2 or 3 tournaments in IW4M. They all failed! And why? Right, players are saying: 'Yeah, my clan is comming'. And then: 'Oh noes, we can't play, because we have no time or something like that

Tournament is actually an nice idea, but currently the Project Rome is not ready for hosting a tournament, since there're still a lot of functions to be implemented, such as spectator mode, anticheat and so on. But if it is possible, you can just host a lan party, it will be more awesome to play the game with friends.
