it would be great if VU implements a way to play the multiplayer without any master server for sending statistics in the closed beta

One thing that failed on the base game is precisely that. Clans are usually composed by 5 people, and the game only allows you to gather 4 people on a squad. Wich itself is a no-go for competitions.

He means "LAN style". But that would break the purpose of the Beta stage.

We can't anything about the backendless LAN yet except that a proven concept is existing.

Wow, I was totally expecting this. Another two weeks before we get to see anything about map modding. Maybe we will finally see something when Battlefield 5 Third Assault comes out?
