It doesn't depend on the game. It's unlocked by the dedicated or master server (e.g. M1 Garand).

what is this dice boom? is just for assaults? and engineers class or recons get it too? and how to unlock it?

DICE BOOM is an ammo upgrade for shotguns and snipers. It is explosive shells for shotgun and anti-material bullets for sniper rifles.
It is reserved for DICE employees as a compensation for being bashed everyday by gamers who are not so satisfied with Origami and Bettlefold.

Actually, the DICE-BOOM sucks pretty much ^^ Slug rounds or a x12/x4 Scope are more useful

Except when you are on my server, that shit one-shots helicopters there

What's the name of your server?
I have never tried DICE BOOM before. It'll be interesting to get the feel of the battlefield DICE employees' way.
