E-Mail notifications for thread subscriptions

I might be to blind too find this in the options. :-/
Can someone point me to the section in the account options where I can choose for which notifications I want to receive a mail and for which i don't.
Because I don't want to get mails about replies in topics that I subscribed to.

on phpbb forums, isn't subscribing to a thread supposed to e mail you notifications so that you wouldn't have to check forum manually every time?

This version of phpBB doesn't have a notification system, so the only way you could possibly get notifications is via e-mail.
