I messed a bit around with some tools and got the following result:
As you can see it seems to be possible, but I think the image is displayed wrong, I think because I used the wrong DXT format.
If somebody could tell me which DXT format the images are using and if they're using MipMaps, then I should be able to modify them successfully.
