NemesisN If you have backup of your bfbc2 client, copy it and install 3,7, 3,8 and fix again. It is client side problem. My bfbc2 folder with tis mod is 13,4 Gb. how much you have?

my client and server icons (the downloaded files) look like this now

I can still extract them like WinRar but why do they look like this and not WinRar icon




do I just extract them form this and launch this icon ?

do I just launch this icon and it will install itself ?

do I just extract from this and launch from my regular BFBC2 exe ? (which I did in the first place)


trying to figure out where is the problem


I also want to mention I did not place clients into the game directory I just extracted files into it...that maybe why my is 12,1 Gb in size (that might also be a mistake by me)

Ok I unistalled the game completely deleted the folder and fresh installed it

Now I did this after fresh installation

- copy pasted client 3.7 into my game directory
- chose option extract here with client 3.7
- Yes to all (copy/replace)
- copy pasted client 3.8 into my game directory
- Run as Administrator client 3.8
- press Ok on installation where it will extract and install into my game directory
- copy pasted name fix file into my game directory
- run name fix file and chose ok to extract into my game directory

and this is what I have now (19,7 Gb folder size)



Is this right ? There are 2 new folders created (new mod, Name's Fix)

or should the inside folders (Dist, Package) be outside and replace with original Dist and Package folder

My location of the game is D:\Games\Battlefield Bad Company 2

My server location is D:\BFBC2 Mod Server v3.8



I doubt that has to do with anything but just putting it out there since I can't figure out the problem

my game is also Project Rome version could that be the problem ?

Very strange..if you did everything like me, if you have 13,4 Gb client, maybe it is server problem or something else.
Can you join other nexus servers? Sometimes in the evening (Europe) there are some moded servers in server list, try to join them. may be you have firewall problem..

I allowed the game in my firewall and I can join other servers which ever I want even moded ones....but there are no moded using this mod with bots unless they changed the name of the server from default one "Mod Server #1 v3.8"

and my game folder is 11,7 Gb in total when I extract all in it....I don't understand how yours is 13,4 Gb

Dist folder is 6,36 Gb
Package is 4,89 Gb
