So why delete the post if this is real? mmmm i am starting to doubt; last year i felt, it seems that i'm falling this year also; it looks so real, it is too specific, and he is is not charging any money this time, so i vote that it is legit, go for it Rodney good luck!.

This is a true whole new level of modding for the game, anyway if it's real please keep it up. :D

Revelations

Tue Apr 01, 2014 6:18 pm

This was an April Fools' joke. Sorry.

Some details on the images:
  • The Main Menu screenshot is simply a screenshot + some photoshop (copied Vietnam Button, changed Logo to BF1943)
  • The Serverbrowser is a screenshot with the BC2 Background removed and replaced. It really says Wake Island (I just changed the display name of my test map)
  • The ingame screenshot is from the PS3 versions Tutorial + some photoshop (removed cap status/ammo count and replaced it by BC2 UI)
Here is the original in-game screenshot:
Image
(Note the crappy quality because analouge input).

Also the images were scaled down and converted from lossless png to jpeg with Microsoft Paint to make it less obvious that my Photoshop skills are bad and that the images are faked :P

For me there's only one thing left to say: BF 1943 uses the same engine and if you are actually able to convert Textures correctly and replace/remove all incompatible stuff... it might work! (Though someone that knows more about the engine than I do maybe can verify or falsify that assumption)

I will leave that up to people who have more time and (currently) more dedication to modding in BFBC2 than me.
There used to be a signature here.
