Cannot connect to any server

Hello there,
ever since i downloaded Nexus BC2, i have not been able to join any server at all or play a single game, either it says connection lost after trying to connect to a server, or the game just shuts off on its own, any suggestions?

I have looked at that thread, and nothing was of help, my problem has nothing to do with ports, vip slots or any other reason which was listed. Maybe there is another reason?
should PunkBuster be uninstalled?

I had found out that a file in the folder was missing, and i had reinstalled the missing files, everything is now working, thanks
