What will Venice do for me?

Thu May 16, 2013 10:46 pm

I have read all the posts about Venice (FAQ, etc) but I don't really understand what it does. Since I have to use a legit copy of the game (I'm not complaining about that) what will Venice do? Is it something to do with setting up LAN or private servers? I have never played BF3 so I don't know if you can do that stuff already.

Thanks.

Do not ask what your Venice can do for you but what you can do for your Venice.

Things like spectator mode, hosting your own server without paying like 2$/slot/month, you can customise more server settings(colour filter, weapon damage and a few other things have been suggested at) using the venice version and the possibility of future mods(more than likely just script mods, no map or resource development in sight because of how frostbite is compiled).

That sounds sweet! If I have the mod installed, will I still beable to connect to servers I could before getting the mod? Would I get banned on EA servers?

You will surely be able to choose the service you want to use...
We can however not assure you how EA will react, even though it should be technically not possible to find out wether you are using Venice or not.
