when you copy the file you downloaded the update is done and you start the game with BFBC2Game.exe

You mean the client-hook update? It doesn't modify any other files.
The BFBC2Updater.exe should always be there. If not, your installation is maybe corrupt.

I still see servers with 5xp in their names, even though some have disabled it, some haven't yet. Should they be repored here or via pm?

Contact the serverowner. EN Staff aren't supposed to changed the server names...

Several servers still have 'x5 XP' in their names, but such modifiers have been already disabled since the latest update.
