Create new soldier

Hi.
I can't create a new soldier. Window "Create New Soldier" disappears before i can type anything.
Any advice pls?

Same thing happens for me, I click the "Create New Soldier" button and the box to type my name disappears before I can write anything. I haven't been able to play. HELP

I'm having the same issue on Windows 7 with GTX680.

I feel like fullscreen mode is messing with the menus/text. When I am able to reduce the screen, the menus seem to work but I still haven't been able to get in game. It's basically impossible to get it to stay below fullscreen.

I tried selecting 'reduced screen size' in the VU shortcut but that only seems to work once per system restart.

I have not yet had the chance to play. I tried run game at native resolution of my monitor: 2560x1440.

Same issue here - 2560x1440 fullscreen

I was able to get past the "create new soldier" by going to c:\*user*\documents\bf3\settings\prof_save_profile and change my resolution to 1980x1080 and reloading the game.

After creating the soldier I reverted back to 1440p and relaunched and noticed all the in game menus will not display. If you Win+Tab you can see the menu text but when you go back to the game it disappears.

I play in 1440p and have the same issues. Start up the game unfocused on the application (open a windows folder or something quickly after starting), the game will open a window rather then go full screen. Go through the menu without going back to full screen. If you join a server that needs to restart the client, try to make sure you unfocus the program again before it restarts. Join the server, it will go full screen but everything is ok now.


Edit : I am seeing this with a Radeon card so the issue appears to be graphics card agnostic.
