Hey guys, I have been quietly been watching this forum for over 3 months and decided to but-in finally. 
Perhaps the glyphs mean something more along the lines of;
1. Ear (To listen for/to)
2. Hill or Top (A new goal/achievement)
3. Triangle, or Point/Sharp (Something exciting and or vivid)
4. Plant or Leaves (New living source or always growing)
I say all of what you guys are posting is very plausible, but NoFaTe said "Glyph names" as a hint, not their meanings or philosophical terms haha.

Maybe the Code of the Glyphes:
1. D18
2. D55
3. M44
5. M12
6. There is one glyph with Y4
7. and one with Y1
D -> Day
M-> Month
Y -> Year
Year: Y4,Y1 -> 41 -> 14 ... 2014
But Month and Day ..... ????? o.O
1. D18

We only take the numbers
18 55 44 2 8 6
follow a DD.MM.YY pattern (EU date format)
1855.442.86
We do an addition:
1+8+5+5.4+4+2.8+6
We receive
19.10.14
The 19th October 2014 is a Sunday. It could be the date we're looking for.

I had the DD.MM.YY Idea too, but haven't really look into it. That seems reasonable.
19th October is still some time to wait, sadly.
