Problem with dinput8.dll

Hi all,

I have the following problem: after installing BFBC2 and BFBC2_PC_Client_R11_795745_Patch and copying dinput8.dll to the game directory the game starts fine but shows no servers. Once I click "JOIN THE GAME" the game informs me that it cannot connect to "EA ONLINE" (but again I have downloaded dinput8.dll). I deleted the gamesettings files from documents but to no positive effect.

What do you guys think? Is there any way to solve this problem?

Are you using a legal copy or a cracked copy?

Put the dinput8 in the game directory and when the game starts, check the bottom left corner if it says "Project Rome 914" etc. Also, if you can login using your name+password from the forums, you likely forgot to press Search on the server browser screen.

Cracked (however I didn't copy crack but installed the BFBC2_PC_Client_R11_795745_Patch) and the game itself starts.

Yes, in the left bottom corner it says that the "Project Rome 914" is running.

However the problematic issue remains unaffected (still shows message that "failed to connect to EA online").

Does anyone know what might be the problem? I tried to reinstall the game but still nothing.

that is your problem then. Rome is not a cracked game and requires you to own a legit copy. But the game and then you can play.
