account lost due to server crash?

I cant log in with my propper Account anymore since the server crash. Neither in forums nor on the server. Did my account info got lost during the server crash and is there any way to use my old account again? I dont wanna start over all the way from the beginning. ;/
I kinda double posted this one in "General Discussion" foums so feel free to delete it. Found the support forum just now.

Delete GameSettings.bin in your Documents/BFBC2 folder.
Then login and let the game redownload your profile related data.

hey!
its not related to the game files. I have the same problem with my forum account as well. after deleting the .bin it still says "Unable to login. Please try again later"
Ps.: I tried sending my account verification again from the email i got when i first logged into forums. The error message was: "Could not find user" or something like that so im quite certain something with the user database got fckd up during the crash...
My Player Name "TheTempus" still seems to exist tho. Couldnt choose it again after making this Account.

If the solution i provided doesn't work the accounts are lost.
We can't do anything about it and since this is a free service we won't be sad about it.

I wouldnt be sad about a truck hiting your face either but thanks a lot for your kind reply. (Also in the name of all the other people wich lost their account after probably several 100 hours of playing eventho its still in your fucking account database)
