Try to turn off bloom in the config:
Documents\BFBC2\settings.ini

For some reason this happens to 2 of my friends, one with Nvidia GTX260 and other is GTX 280, I forgot which settings exactly but, I think it was effects or something, if you turn it down on low, the screen is visible again, play with which setting, probably is the bloom, and you can manually set it off as suggested by MAGIC. I don't know what the cause is but... screen flickers here too, on gtx 560 ti, not black but just flickers sometimes, probably it's the game's fault.
