Unable to Log in, Please try again

Each time I try to login, I type in my username and pass, and get this ^ after several seconds of trying to connect. I just downloaded the game and this is the first time I've tried the multiplayer. Can anyone help me out?

Spaces in the username are not allowed, use your e-mail to log in instead.

Ah ok thank you, I can see the servers now but everytime I try and join one it tells me it was unable, and I should check my connectivity? I was sure to bypass it on my firewall and my internet shouldn't have any sort of connection problems since I game all the time. Any ideas?

Forward ports, try joining a server with less players.
