Problem with weapons

Hi guys i've unlocked the assault rifle XMB but i can't select it what's the problem ? Thanks in advance 
Do you meen you cant select the XM8 only ? or you cant select any new weapons ( like you have just the starter onec ) ?
If you have just the starter once dont worrie you probubly joined a server that has that setup so everyone is eaqual.
Or there could be some problems with the Master server but the rest of us would probubly see that.
