Ok, don't get me wrong, but I noticed that some people are using a cracked version from nosteam. Those seem to "unpatch" themselves when launching.
We do not support piracy, so we cannot help anyone who uses those releases.

To check if you have it: Is there a file called "play-mp-nexus"?

Just get a clean, patched version of the game...

Even if you're too lazy to buy it (obviously you are, ignoring the fact that BC2 costs around 10€) there massive amounts of .isos around the web which are NOT related to Steam or Origin which could cause file mess ups.

I won't tell you where to find them. It's your task to get a working copy of the game by any means necessary if you wan't to play.

Had the same issue. nosteam versions were the fault. Clean rips solve the issue.
