Resolution Problem

I am facing a problem that i am trying to play battlefield bad company 2 at 800x600 resolution but it doesnot works...

I have been searching all around google and youtube to try to figure out my problem but it still didnt make any use.
This is what i tried to do:1-i went to my documents>BFBC2>Settings.ini>then changed the settings in that file to 800x600 (Because ingame option there is no such option to let u be able to select 800x600)then i went ingame, after 10 seconds or so my game just automatically changes back to 1024x768.
2-after that i tried another thing which is: setting the ini file into read only but it just didnt help
3-i changed my desktop resolution into 1024x768 thinking that this might fit with the game resolution but it didnt..
So please i ll be thankful if u help me..

Go to - My Documents/BFBC2 and open Settings.ini
Effects=low
Soldiers=low
Vehicles=low
Overgrowth=low
Undergrowth=low
StaticObjects=low
Terrain=low
Shadows=low
Bloom=false
HSAO=false
MSAA=0
Water=low
MainQuality=low
Texture=low
