Sun Aug 18, 2013 12:58 am

Sup y'all, I have some troubles launching BC2, when i launch it, an error pops up and this is what it says:

This application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.

Ive searched on google before posting this, and I Updated everything on my PC (Framework, Visual C++, windows updates, GPU drivers) everything. My PC is more than capable to running BC2, I need help please! :(

Im using Windows vista ultimate service pack 2

If you need more information, post

Are you sure you installed the Visual C++ Redistributables 2005, 2008 and 2010 (x64/x86)?

EDIT: Merged both topics, warned for double-posting.

PC keeps rebooting when joining a game :(

Mon Aug 19, 2013 10:52 am

I finnally fixed this issue, I deleted all versions of Visual C++ and reinstalled them. But now im having a new problem -_-, my PC keeps rebooting by itself whenever I join a game. The game starts and after 1-2 seconds, my PC shuts down, any ideas?

Sorry for disturbing :/

Do you have a Realtek soundchip ?

Your settings could've been messed up. Try deleting your GameSettings.bin and setting your DxVersion to "9" in the Settings.ini.

Well, Realtek onboard soundchips are causing issues within games using FrostBite engines.

Try the following:

Disable the sound device and join a game with the device entirely shut down.
If the system is not rebooting itself your soundchip is causing the issue.
