Remap buttons crash?

Hey so im using a lenovo t400, and trying to play the game and im in the first mission when i have to hit mmb to meelee the first few guards.
However, my computer doesnt have a mmb really and when i try to hit the one that it has it doesnt register.
When i try to remap it to something else it wont register as in i will push "t" 50 times to try and get meelee to be "t" but it wont do anything, and eventually it will say "that button is already in use for turn right".
And then sometimes when trying to do this the game will crash.
Is there any way to remap the controls in any of the .txt docs in the main directory? i know you can do that for other games.

Uhm... You know that MMB = middle mouse button?

yes i do. my keyboards doesnt appear to work in the game.
