AMD Releases RAM for Gaming PCs

AMD said it would enter the dynamic random access memory market a while ago, but other than an initial offering, a test mostly, it didn't pipe up again.

This has now changed: AMD has introduced the AMD Radeon RG2133 Gamer Series Memory and Radeon RAMDisk 4.1. AMD Radeon RG2133 Gamer Series Memory.

The company has published a press release and everything.

The newcomers support XMP (Extreme Memory Profiles) and say they improve FPS by 22% when paired with AMD A10 Series APUs.

Obviously, AMD is seeing the memory paired with the Richland chips, and probably the Volcanic Islands GPUs that will supposedly, and miraculously, arrive this year instead of 2015.

The new AMD memory modules have “high-grade aluminum heat shield for enhanced heat dissipation.”

Dataram, AMD's manufacturing partner, has helped set everything up.
