Some free domains?

Hey guys, i'm currently in the need of a domain but tk. ml. and all those others now require to pay for domains and they still write on their website "ITS FREE, GET IT NOW FOR ONLY 59,99 $, BUT REMEMBER IT'S FREE!" ..

So, does anybody know a website that offers free domains with being able to connect it to custom DNS, if yes please send me a link, ..something.

$2 a month is nothing, like he said. I get at least 2 Humble Bundles for $1 each month so... yeah, it's not really hurting the economy. Though I know of no domains that charge only $2. A friend told me he was paying $20 for a year or something like that so it could be true but I dunno, really.
