Remove Suppression, 3d Spotting, etc,.

It would be nice if the final product would not include the following things:
    Supression; the blur effect on its own will be good enough
    3d spotting
    minimap reveal when not using suppressor
    Auto-heal
    Auto-repair

I'm sure if only these five things would be removed, it would make for a much better experience.
Bring back old punish system: Teamkill punish system *("page up"=forgive, "page down"=punish, too many TK's=automated kick)

And again someone who can't read.

Again, Venice will NOT modify the gameplay in any way!
The game itself will be like the original, except the backend.
It allows us to host own servers, which we can modify like we want.
On wour own servers, we can use mods that disable / change things.
I am sure, there will be mods to remove supression etc.
To your points:
Supression -> There will be mods, i'm sure
3d spotting -> can be turned off already in the normal bf3 via config / hardcore
minimap reveal -> i think you are alreay on the minimap whan not using a supressor
Auto-heal -> Hardcore
Auto-Repair -> Hardcore

So, all points except the Supression are in stock BF3. Try playing hardcore...

I mean make it so that your are not revealed on minimap when using weapon without suppressor.

If Venice does not change the vanilla BF3 gameplay, but NoFate releases an SDK of some sort I will write a gameplay mod.

edited for silly reasons.

We will be providing server-side options that will change various settings such as suppression (visual and sway deviation), blue tint, etc. that will be synced across all connected clients.

Other more advanced features will be accessible via the Extension API.

Nice to hear that you can do it via server side.

Was fun times trying to snipe each other across the map with no supression, sway, recoil etc. iirc NoFaTe won that round, but then I won every round after.

ontopic:/ i read on your blog that you were able to extract 3d model data from frostbite & seeing how Venice has modding ability, do you think in the future we will be able to import our own model data?

I remember after the QBSP/QVIS/QRAD source became available. I wrote a QBSP converter that could load the earlier versions of Quake1, Quake2 and Half-Life maps and update them to the newest protocol so they worked in the Quake3 engine. Doing the same with the frostbite engine is probably not possible as I do not know the specific details of their file formats etc. But it would be awesome. Import BF2/Karkand maps, update for venice protocol and apply new textures/models etc in Rime.
