How far does the modding go?

Will we be able to make client side changes like re-textures and new vehicles? I can definitively see the potential in 2-seated jets like in Caspian Border in alpha.
Or are we restricted to server-side ones? Similar to changes in the cat files.
Basically, how far does the modding go as of now?

I think he means something like the mod tools for BC2. Well, we'll see what the community brings up.

You need frostbite for this.

Lack of tools haven't stopped the community before. I have no idea of how far NoFate has taken this, but it would certainly be very interesting. I'm hoping that modifications to existing vehicles can be done. The two seated jets excites me.

FYI: NoFaTe is working on networking backend related features.
He doesn't touch the engine related stuff itself.

Oh, really? Well well, it wouldn't been possible without him.

For 2 seated jet you need to make it from scratch, and to do that you need frostbite which is the graphic engine.

Everything is possible, its just about how much the community is willing to put into this.
To start with the community need to use their imagination and work on what we allready have. Making new features that doesn't exist will be hard.
For 2 seater jets;
