Unless someone finds a way to crack into EA's actual Blaze server and poison their whitelist, there needs to be an emulated master server.

My response was not to LAN, but this:

I think he meant for a lan version of the server client, where connecting to the master server requires all the people on the lan to have access to an internet connection and a unique IP address (I'm pretty sure it needs these anyway, not 100%).

I do, it is a cheap night in with friends. Not only that but you have the joy of watching their face a you mow them down with a gunship.

I´m doing small LANs with friends to get away from these ragekids in the internet.

Diablo and Starcraft LAN matches are also very entertaining.. especially Diablo.

And most important: I´m sometimes playing on LAN with my father since he does enjoy FPS games but isnt good enough for competing in the internet.

So YES. I am STILL using LAN like many others do.

It's cool you got your Dad to play with you. If mine wasn't so busy I'm sure he'd be into this game too since he's generally interested on this topic =p

:D

Of course, mine is busy too all the day.
But if we have some spare time in the evening we might play some CoD..
Since my dad isnt the youngest anymore he plays simple FPS. Its just for relaxing.

Too bad we cant play the recent BF-games (yet).
He is fascinated by those huge landscapes and awesome graphics :D
And no he doesnt like GTA, though it got some cool open world gameplay too.
