DU4 32-Heli Server Griefer

(Note: I intended to put this on the official DU4 thread but I can't seem to find it since the forum was revamped.)

An admin from DU4 might want to check the server log for the (N5) HeavyMetal 32-Heli server on 12-31-2014 between 5:00-5:30 UTC
so this griefer idiot can be perma banned. He was repeatedly destroying his own team helis at the Russian base by parking a tank on the heli pad. He did it several times while I was on the server and I took some screenshots for proof.
(It was lagging me so bad while I was watching him that I was afraid he might crash the server.)

In this case - Dear admins, please add votekick/ban plugin to your servers!
With 4 votes and 30-60 min ban.

We as community already tired of cheaters long time ago.

Firstly, I am not in the habit of joining dozens of server forums just to report griefers for them. That is their server admin's job, not mine.
Besides, although the main purpose of this thread was to make DU4 aware of the problem, I also realize that a lot of other servers need to fix this too.

Secondly, If votekick was already active on the DU4 server, I was certainly unaware of it. Usually servers run a chat message about votekick being active and the proper command to use it. If there was a votekick active message I sure missed it.

I don't exactly understand how to launch a votekick. Can you give an an example?
Here we go:
Players called IDESTROYEVERYTHING is teamattacking by destroying vehicles in the own base. What is to do?

• open in-game-chat
• type: votekick IDESTROYEVERYTHING Teamattack

Now the votekick has been started. Do not forgt to vote yourself!

• open in-game-chat
• type: vote

If enough players agree to votekick IDESTROYEVERYTHING within two minutes, the votekick will be executed.

Well, as I understood the forum rules in here, reporting cheaters will lead to a warning. So you may be wrong with your point...

Firstly, the forum rules actually state that CHEAT reports are prohibited.
This thread is not about CHEATING, its about GRIEFING. Not the same thing, but nice try anyway.
The point of this thread is to call attention to a problem that can & should be fixed on all servers asap.

Secondly, since I saw OLEG_PRO on the same DU4 server yesterday then reporting it on the DU4 forum wouldn't have accomplished anything at all now would it. Obviously DU4 doesn't care about griefers because when they are provided with 100% conclusive evidence of it, they don't ban the griefer anyway.

Thirdly, after reading your previous post I was able to discover that !votekick was listed in the 32-Heli server rules. However, it obviously required me to know that I must type !rules in chat and that seems like a sloppy implementation since most players have no idea they need to do that. It seems like it would be much more effective if the server ran a message that informed players automatically about !votekick being active without them having to do anything themselves.

Finally, although I understand how !votekick should work, unfortunately I have very little confidence that it would be effective to stop a griefer.
In reality, its more likely that it would be used by a group of griefers to !votekick all the decent players off, lol.
If there is a plugin that will allow autokicks instead I think it would be much better.

Well, as I stated before: Abuse of DU4 server rules should be reported at the DU4 forum. Forum adress is one of the few things which is being posted during gameplay repetitively. There you will find every information you need - about votekick or especially about the upcoming server changes.
Messages during the gameplay are reduced to the minimum. There's no need and no way to inform every player about everything he doesn't know.
Reporting hackers ( violaters of rules) in DU4 forum will lead to actions much sooner as it is the right place. Not to forget: Reporting will not lead to any ban "automatically", as each and every report will be checked.
