Can play with pirated players?

Hello I bought BFBC2 from Origin and used NexusBF to play MP due to no EA servers.I'm really okay with it but the damn lag is so high.Anyway can I play with people who didn't buy the game and just pirated it?Almost every player I asked says they are legit.

Emulator Does not Support pirated copy's of BFBC2. Period.
Remember that you can use origami to install the game legally on may PC's so if you know your friends IRL then you know you could well... yah.

Well if you your friends uses the EN hook, then you can play together...

Depends on what "pirated" means in this case.
If any crack is applied (and the main game executable therefore altered) the game won't launch with our hook.
If you have untouched files however, chances are you can play on Nexus (due to DICE having removed DRM in Patch R11).
Do not expect any support though!
