being in the usa, i have no friends intelligent enuf to play this game, thus, i need some players with a low ping (thus need usa players) to play my server, ill get people in it, but its low, and theres only me and this "[TG]clan" server that spams the living piss outa you. so that leads me to believe mine is lagging people to death.. or doing something it shouldnt. theres even one other server that just popped up with a crazy name, and it isnt even fully hardcore mode. instantly gets 8 players like mine isnt even there.

pm me or somthing if you will.. id like like to set up a playdate(no homo), were 5 people at the same time playing normally for like 5 mins, or a full round even.. tell me if you can even see my server, what the ping is listed as, whether it lags.. the whole shabang, whatever. id consider asking players ingame whenever one pops up, but none speak.

or hell, if your just curious, its the [northern USA] RUSH n' CONQUEST servers.. one for nam and bfbc2.. but i prefer you pm me so i can set up a date for a real test.

Sorry dude, usually there are near to zero players from USA because you have the possibility to buy the original game. You are a first world country and you all can afford the original game. Therefore this mod allows for poor people to play, those who are not in a such good situation that USA is. Sorry..

Good luck with that. My server was running on my box, east coast USA. 95% of the players connecting were from the other side of the planet. It is ridiculous, server name even said EAST COAST US! Their pings would range from 400-600 and they just warp all over the place, making the game unplayable. I finally put a high ping kicker, kicking anyone with a ping over 300. Since that is most of the people that played on the server, server pretty much died off. There simply do not appear to be enough players from the US region for this game, sadly. My box has a gigabit connection, located in the heart of the Atlanta datacenter, running pure InterNap bandwidth. The box is a beast, and the foreigners still manage to lag the hell out of it. Game seems to be dying off as well. I finally just shut down our legit BC2 server. That was based out of Denver, so was a real good ping for anyone in the US region. It filled once in a while, but sat mostly empty, and was a waste of money.

I am *hopeful* the next big release from NoFate draws more US area players. I will put up a server for that as well. Time will tell. Coming here looking for USA players, is going to be futile, at best.

Just a side-effect. Not our intention.

Also, the mod is not existing to make this game available for pirates and people who are too lazy to buy a 10$/€ game, it's giving you the possibility to create own servers with possible extensions and other neat things.
