Is it save to use it with steam?

Sat Apr 06, 2013 12:04 pm

hey guys

I am using Emulator Nexus because many of my friends didn't bought it. I have installed it two times on my PC, the steam version and the nexus version. When I friend asks me to play with him I just close Steam and I start my second copy of bad company 2.

I don't have a lot of space left on my HDD so I need to uninstall one and now I was wondering if I can use the Steam version with emulator nexus.

I can't really tell on a 100% sure if Steam will give you any problems since I own the Retail/Origin copy. What I can tell you though is this game isn't based on the Steam servers so the only thing that Steam really does is launch your game through Steam. I am 99% sure that dropping the dinput8 in the directory won't compromise your account or anything. There's always that 1% so I'd just wait for a moderator to answer this if possible :)

P.S. - If you use Origin it will just ask you if you want to use Local or Cloud files, I just pick Local and there are no problems but again, since Steam doesn't even use the EA servers, it's little to none likely there will be problems. Just wait for an answer
