I create this topic to ask emulatornexus developpers to re-enable Punkbuster in the next revision of the dll if possible. I know you have planned to dev your own anti-cheat or something else, but for now PB would be great. It is the original anti-cheat of BC2 and is planned to work with it.

I saw you say it is not a good anti-cheat, but at least it kicks if an additional program (aimbot or something else) is detected, it scans gamefiles (md5). Some ppl here have modified the current dll to enable it, and it works perfectly, the problem is the client need to have the modified dll too or he is kicked for "No packet flow". A lot of servers (30% I think) already use it.

There is more and more players everyday, and I saw already some cheaters using obvious hacks on my servers.

I mean, cheating on emulator nexus is easy as Googleing "BFBC2 aimbot" and use any program found, detected or not. Punkbuster would block most of this.

Maybe I don't know something which would prevent you to enable PB...

You can use the modified dll for this moment. The admins at this site they won't develop the patch with PunkBuster enabled, since currently it's more important to fix the bugs with masterserver to make it more stable. Also with this modified dll you can both join PB enabled or PB disabled server, so why not continue to use it?

I am actually using the modified dll to be able to join all the servers, but I want to protect my servers and if I use the PB dll on it they gonna be always empty, random players dont have the PB dll.

Well, than take a closer look at the server name. If it's a big host like Epicdot.com, risen, .CKZ etc., the admins are probably rather professional.

I don't advice any of you to use any modified dll than nexus dll. Modified dll may contains harmful code.
