Competition - How to Host Dedi Rome With Admin Tools (Proco)

Sun Feb 24, 2013 7:36 pm

:ugeek:
okay here it is Guys
Any one that makes a video Tutorial of how to dedi host bfbc2 on Windows platform will be awarded a Premium Steam game
The requirements are how to setup Procon on the server as admin tool. If there are multiple video entries, then the best one wins.
And if you make a video with typing ur text in notepad and all that sheet i wont even bother to watch it. yes indeed there is one tutorial on youtube unfortunately its got those "watch me type the instruction video" . The video tutorial shud be made with this in mind , link to files required provided, and the viewers are total noob at hosting games.
This side contest is only valid for participants of the Lucky draw contest. The contest expires, if i get that video tutorial from elsewhere after no one has submited one from here.

I am aware of server files in the help section, also i have used the Pbay server File , I am able to run the server, and can see my server in BFBC2 Client search, But i do not know any commands , Nor am i able to setup Procon Admin tool
Something to do with Procon layer thingy. seeing we have so many servers, I hope we get a video tutorial on this.

Premium steam game wud be a nice game , like tombraider, or blackops2 (bf3 isnt at steam) or maybe watchdogs? Yummm
or heck maybe some game on offer LoL.
I cant claim my credibility yet, as i am new to the forum, but i am a staff at another forum, where i have run the same competition. Dont know if i can provide link to that forum, Anyway thats out of topic.

So, you're actually looking for some nigga who'll do a complete video for you just because your too lazy to figure it out yourself?

K, I'll give you some hints:

- Start procon
- Get your ip here: http://whatismyip.com/
- Get your password from ServerOptions.ini
- Log in, no layers

Tadaa, here you go. Rest is self explaining.

If you want any further help, either open a new topic with a detailed description of your problem or pay some dude in advance for helping you.

PS:
Offering steam games is everything but reputable.

Are you serious? No where documented?? Go here:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4

Then read that:

NoFaTe wrote:After than you can modify the ServerOptions.ini file to change the name of the server, the remote administration password and configure other features.

There is no way of making it more obvious.

Everything but reputable = looks like scam

I surely won't do a video, but if you want, I can take a look via Teamviewer.

Also, why did you order BO2? o.O
I don't need BO2, and it wouldn't be fair to let you pay that much money for such an easy question.

If you mean username textbox of procon frostbite, that's needed in case you want to connect to a procon layer
also keep in mind that there are two configurable ports for server, one that players send UDP data to and the other one that RCON tools like procon frostbite make a TCP connection to

Username is blank, admin port is normally 48888 (also forward this port in your router/firewall/antivirus).

If you can't connect via your external IP, try your internal IP (e.g.: 192.168.1.2, but NOT 127.0.0.1)
If that works, there's a problem with your router's port forwarding.

Okay Both of those helped me accomplish my task

I was stuck at making password, and without Fumasas reply i wud still be stuck
and without Robbings reminder of port forwarding, i wud have thought something broken and just gave up.

How may i thank both of u guys?

Bo2 was not purchased as it was region locked to russia and other places .
CS Go or Cs complete is region free, and there are alot of games that are also region free. Do u guys have a wishlist i can afford.
Unfortunately i cant afford much, and now i have 2 guys to give. Please doo keep that in mind.
Guess i will make the video of how to make dedi server in the end, a nice one that youtube never had! :D
