Could I get some help with: Hosting with ProCon and BC2CC

Sun Apr 28, 2013 9:32 am

Alright, so as the title states, I am in the middle of some problems here with the hosting. A friend of mine told me how to host easier with Bad company 2 Command Center however I found that every time I try it, the server doesn't appear while with ProCon or even the default server launcher and serveroptions.ini etc.. it works just fine. I just wanted to ask why doesn't BC2CC work if it's using the same port (48888) as ProCon and the FrostGameMain... etc

It would be really cool if you guys could assist me as I've been requested to make a tutorial of how to host and edit the settings with those 2 but I am having problems making my server visible with the Command Center. Thanks in advance 8-)

Are you trying to connect to the server using BC2CC? Or is it not showing in the game?

I already connected via the BC2CC but the server isn't showing in-game when I create it using it. Using the default server starter or ProCon displays the server in the browser. The server shows as running in the BC2CC but I can't see it..

The servers are currently down, also I have been experimenting with my own server but it does not map a external IP for me. I have port forwarded and by the way great tutorials!

I tried this out yesterday and there were servers, I can assure you. I saw my server and such and the ports should be open (not to mention the 48888 one is used by both ProCon and BC2CC so there shouldn't be problems).

Other than that, thanks for the praise :D

I kinda figured it out I guess.. I changed up some settings in the ServerOptions.ini and had to restart the server a couple of times but it's finally up. I am gonna start work on that tutorial now so if someone of the admin team can lock this thread, It'd be awesome :)
