EA Gets Greedy With Pricing Scheme For BF1

Thu Sep 01, 2016 7:13 pm

Well, it looks like EA/DICE is all set to put its hooks into the wallets of BF fans.

Here is the Battlefield One pricing scheme so far:
=====================================
BF1 Standard Edition = $59.99
BF1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition = $79.99
BF1 Premium Pass = $49.99
BF1 Ultimate Edition = $129.98

Note: Since the Premium Pass includes maps it will be required in order to play on all the servers so don't think that anybody can get off cheap. ;)

Isn't this basically what they've been doing for the past 5 years though?

Actually I quit paying attention to the price of BF games after BC2 and I waited until that was $20.00. I am willing to grant that BF3 was different enough to justify a $60.00 price tag somewhat but all the games after that have been nothing but reskins. I guess gamers don't realize that as long as they keep putting up with this trend then price gouging for reskins will only get worse. If I am going to pay $130.00 for a game then it better make my fricking breakfast and drive me to work, lol. :D
