Following the advice of Mizu, I have separated this topic from another thread.

Unfortunately BF3 marked the point where EA/DICE decided to abandon the essence of BF and became determined to make a close quarters run & gun CoD clone. Consequently, although it has some serious flaws, I think that BC2 is still the best BF game.

Tell us what you think and why.

BF3 is still a true BF game and my 2nd favourite in series. It is BF4 which made BF a run & gun game. And Hardline is not even a BF game.

I am only going to assume you people didn't play BF4 in Classic or Hardcore modes, where the game actually shines and run-n-gunners aren't favored as much as they are hunting Doritos in Normal preset. I have recently played several rounds and can confirm that the Classic preset is a must for anyone who wants to experience BF2-like teamwork, as people often tend to follow what I tell them, give orders when I request them and have a Commander that doesn't whine about us not owning the Cruise Missile flag. It is quite the experience!

No. And as mizu said, bf4 classic is much closer to bf2 than bf3 ever could. (though VU may change that)

Okay...2 of 3 people that left a comment defended BF4 but nobody actually voted for it.
That seems pretty odd doesn't it?

Defenders: "Come on guys...you know BF4 is actually a good game."
Opponents: "Oh really...so you will probably vote for it then right?"
Defenders: "Heck no!"

I voted for BF2 for obvious reasons and defended BF4 because of the hate it keeps getting. It's not that bad of a game. If you're playing with friends, it shines way better than BF3's current state. There's just more to do as a squad and the shooting mechanics are a lot better than just running around with an M16A3 and bunny hopping..
