It works really well. Before I bought a GPU, I used to play at 20 to 30 FPS with these tweaks.. Hope you might get some performance additions...

most of the time i'm playing under 23fps. That does not affect my skills although some time i get killed due to lag which is a result of slow internet. And i'm not a hacker.
