You must to have fully updated and licensed game, so yeah download it from your friend's account.

This has been answered multiple times already... Mod support, you can turn off blue tint/suppression, hosting your own dedicated server etc.

Mod Support, DLC for everyone (only if you own the files since they don't need a license file, correct me if I am wrong), hosting our own servers instead of paying Dedicated Servers per slot, Color-correction doesn't result in Ban (aka Blue tint), Spectator Mode that was taken away from the game... and so much more that EA could never give us for free. All you are required to do is own the game and for it to be activated/updated through Origin.

NoFaTe will most likely provide a link to them but it's not like they aren't out on the internet already, just that paid servers are the only ones who can host on EA's masterserver
