I just downloaded R34 server files and extracted them.

I want to know whether i am suppose to place these files in my BFBC2 file directory or I can place the server files whereever i want.

Also do i have to portforward or not. If yes, how.

Also how will i choose the IP for portfoward and which protocol?

I'd advise you to check this out on how to set-up a proper server.

As for the files, you can place them anywhere; they needn't be in the Game folder (mine are on the Desktop for example).

Portforwarding is a different thing. You need to find the ports for the game and forward them in whatever way (TCP/UDP or both) is required. To do that, I'd just check http://portforward.com

1: No, the server files don't need to be in your game folder
2: You can try without forwarding first. If it doesn't work, you'll have to forward.

Ports:

Code: Select all

TCP 18390 Outgoing
TCP 18395 Outgoing
UDP 18395 Outgoing
TCP 13505 Outgoing
TCP 80 Outgoing

The IP you need to forward to is your local PC's, something like 192.168.1.2
You can find out by typing "ipconfig /all" in cmd.exe and looking for "IPv4 Address"

I don't know, no one has reported it not working and keeps getting views so I don't see where you are having this issue from.

WAN port is just the outgoing port I guess.
.1 is normally your router. You need to change it to the IP of your PC.

Also, please don't double-post, use the edit button instead.

You are using the wrong IP..
You need to use the IP from your PC (Open CMD -> ipconfig -> IPv4 Address )
